from invitation card

Dear guests,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the World Première of Blood&Breath® – Magdalen in Altimira, which will be held in the evocative setting of the Church of Santa Maria delle Pietà, located just inside Vatican City.
This sacred place, rich in history and spirituality, will be the perfect setting for a performance that combines art, science and music.
The evening will feature Stefania Rocca, an extraordinary actress who will play Mary Magdalene in an emotional and spiritual journey.
Amedeo Fago, a gifted director, architect, actor and set designer who has worked with Lina Wertmüller and Nanni Moretti, among others, will be voice Joseph of Arimathea.
The work draws inspiration from the Golden Legend, a medieval work recounting the lives of saints, bringing to the stage a narrative that resonates with modern existential questions: what is our place in the ecosystem and our connection to the natural world?
At the heart of this project is Honora Foà‘s tireless passion. A visionary artist and co-founder of Frequency Opera®, Honora has been able to bring to life a work that explores the deep intertwining of love and nature, science and feeling. Her vision merges with that of composer and director Lucas Richman to create an experience that is not only aesthetic, but deeply reflective and moving.
The viewer will be immersed in a circular performance field, which will also offer an enveloping scenic vision thanks to 360-degree projections of Margot MacLean‘s paintings, a guide made up of vivid and symbolic images centered on fauna: an eternal dialogue between man and nature.
